Although the symbolism is recognized with relation to The Angel Gabriel and of course Mary, it is unclear just as to why an unknown 15th Century Italian Painter would be commissioned to paint The Virgin Mary and Her Assumption into Heaven with a ''background subject'' as is seen. Surrounded by all the ''Saints in heaven'' to convey Her to Paradise, the upper portion of the painting (and later lithograph), clearly shows several unmistakable ''Saucer-shaped'' Flying Craft. Easily fitting into today's headlines, these Discs too seen to be ''welcoming'' Mary. As with so many odd paintings of this Era, why do They portray obvious technology (even in imagination), hundreds of years into the future?
