The “Armor of Achilles” was said to have been specially made by The Gods, for use by the legendary and fictional Spartan Warrior – Achilles. Achilles was a central Character in Greek Historian and Writer's Homer's The “Illiad”. The “Illiad” is a retelling of the “probable” Trojan Wars (1260-1180 BC). Achilles was said to be a “perfect” Warrior, born of that mighty and fanatic Race of Warriors known as The Spartans. Achilles formed a Squad of Mercenaries, known as “Murder Men” for their unrelenting and great talent for killing in Combat. Achilles and his Mercenaries were purchased by King Agamemnon to fight against Troy. Legend has Achilles and Trojan Hero Prince Hector, fighting to the death – with Achilles the natural winner. But many cite that Achilles (while a mighty Warrior), may have had a “hook” as well. It was widely rumored that Achilles Father was none other than “Zeus” (King of The Gods).

In a move similar to other Greek Heroes with God assistance, Achilles was given “specially made” Armor from Zeus. Given to him after he was declared a Spartan Warrior, Achilles Helmet, Chest Plate, Vambraces and Greaves were as such, that Achilles strength was increased “3 fold”. This, coupled with his fine honed Spartan weapons skills – would have made Achilles, unbeatable. What happened to Achilles Armor is unknown. Killed by Prince Paris within The Walls of The City of Troy (which had been overrun by Achilles and Agamemnon's Soldiers), his remains were thought to have cremated with the other “Heroes” of Troy and Greece.
