The Antikythera Mechanism

 A puzzling and out of place artifact, The Antikythera Mechanism is said to be dated from 100 B.C. Discovered in 1901 in the wreckage of an ancient Antikytheran ship off of Greece, the mechanism is beyond belief. Although badly encrusted with the effect of thousands of years underwater, the device is a wooden boxed machine with clockwork mechanisms, 30 meshing gear devices and springs. The level of technological sophistication is well beyond Man's stage at this period in History. Said to having been some form of Astrological Navigational device it's exact use is still hotly debated. Some of the larger components contain strange inscriptions . Where did it come from and who built it Could The Antikythera Mechanism be forgotten knowledge or possibly remains from an ancient UFO crash site (and back engineered by very bright Humans ) In 2007, a group of independent researchers reconstructed The Mechanism. This Model is even MORE perplexing.
