The Anoxic Event

The Oceans of The World are vitally important with regards to the ecosystems that ''feed'' many of Our Planet's population. Further, Ocean Life serves to ''feed itself'' (as it were). But many proponents of ''apocalyptic ends'' with regards to Humankind cite an ''Anoxic Event'' as being a very REAL 'ends to a means''. In short, and HAS Happened several times (Millions of Years ago) – various conditions (some of which are unknown mechanisms), cause a rise in both Sulfuric and Anoxic Gases. These gases develop as a result of a dramatic decrease in Oxygen levels. As such, massive ''die offs'' of Oceanic Life begin to occur. In later cases, these Events were seen as vital to Evolution. In other cases, such mass die offs impacted overall Planetary Life. Science points to Modern excess in Climate Change (Pollution) and it's related Global Warming as a very probable means to illicit another Anoxic Event. However, giving the decrease of Oceanic species in general, such a ''crash'' in The Ecosystem, would have wide ranging effects on Human Population (to include mass starvation and Wars, generated by the ''haves and have nots''). In very REAL terms, an ''end to Human Life on Earth within several years of a massive Event of this nature''.
