The ''Angels of Mons''

An interesting tale from World War War, The Angels of Mons was an incident that was said to have happened on September 19, 1914. During The Battle of Mons, a British Regiment was hopelessly outnumbered by German Forces. Low on ammunition and hope, one British soldier was said to have prayed to God for the Regiment's protection from the impending doom. Suddenly, a white mist began to cover the front of the British Lines. The mist began to take the distinct shapes of Medieval Bowman (several hundred of them). Forming in front of The British Lines, the Ranks of Bowmen began to fire Ghostly volley after volley of arrows into the advancing German Troops. Hundreds upon hundred of them fell before the British soldiers. After the battle, all the bodies of the German Troops showed NO signs of bullet or shell injuries. The story was documented by both sides. What Was it?
