The Andrew Besiago Case

 Andrew Basiago is a Seattle, Washington State (US) Attorney-at-Law. He also ran as an Independent Candidate for The US Presidency. None of this is unusual. What is strange, is Mr. Basiago's claims. You see, according to him....is a "Time Traveler". Not from the Future mind you, but from "our" Era. Andrew states that as a Child, he was recruited by an Ultra Secret Project called "The Pegasus Program". This US Government Project "sent" American Time Travelers to the Past and Future. They were even sent to Alien Worlds. Overseen by the very real Government Agency known as DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), this Organization was founded in 1958, by The US Defense Department. Their goal was (and is) - to explore and develop Scientific Projects to advance American Military Defense. DARPA is credited with Stealth Technology, UAV (Drone) and a host of other "Science-Fiction made Fact" Programs.

Known to some (and previously discussed), The so-called "Philadelphia Experiment" was the actual "birth" of "Pegasus". The "Experiment" involved the complete Radar invisibility of Naval Warships to Enemy Radar. Using incredible procedures and mechanisms developed by Inventor Nicola Tesla, The Experiment went horribly wrong. What did come out of it by accident, was Time Travel. Further testing would find "Pegasus" completed in 1967. As Basiago would claim, Scientists would scour The Country for only the most gifted and intelligent Children, between 6 and 12. This was said to be due to the fact that Children's "Mental States" were perfect for Time Travel. Suitably conditioned, they would undergo their "Trip". Although Basiago did not go into great detail, he stated that a "Device" was built which created a Tachyon Sphere (inside which The Traveler would be placed). Next, a miniature "Wormhole" was created - which served as "motion" for The Device.

Basiago stated that he traveled to different Periods in American History. One "trip" involved him almost being "caught". Andrew claimed that he was transported to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on November in the year 1863. He was present for US President Abraham Lincoln's immortal Speech, The Gettysburg Address. For some reason Andrew "arrived without his shoes". Although dressed as a Union Army Drummer, he was attracting attention to himself. Andrew stole a pair of shoes. Unbeknownst to him, famed Civil War Photographer Alexander Gardner "took" his photograph. Andrew also claims that he traveled to The Planet Mars as well. Most People label Andrew as a "Nut". He has nonetheless written books on the Subject and appeared many times on syndicated Radio and Television. This, some say is why The US Government won't simply make him "go away". Tell tale, perhaps - but anything regarding DARPA has proven to be true at some point. So what is Basiago correct or simply insane?
