This Case was widely reported in Amherst, Nova Scotia, Canada and The United States – as being a ''genuine Haunting''. Beginning in 1878 to 1879, Sisters (one of whom was married with children), all lived in a large Home on a Farm. When one of the Sisters was ''assaulted by an unknown Man'', strange phenomenon began to happen inside The Family Home. Night after night, books would fly off shelves, dishes and glasses would come crashing to the floor, and other more ''terrifying events'' happened. Soon, The Family began to be ''thrown off their beds at night'' and suffered ''scratches and cuts on their legs, backs and hands''. The ''attacks, for all intents and purpose were of a Poltergeist nature. Soon, The entire Region began to hear of the disturbances. Several well known ''Psychics'' came to The Family aid, and determined that their was indeed some form of ''haunting''. However, no trace of historical evidence of ''murder or misdeed could be found, regarding the house or land''.
In 1879, while sleeping – one of The Sisters awoke in Her bed to see – ''scratched '' into the wall over her head, ''YOU ARE MINE TO KILL!'' This was too much and soon after, The Family moved. They changed their name and supposedly came to The United States – to disappear. As for The Home, it stood abandoned for roughly 30-years, the object of many juvenile ''dares of entry'' on a ''drunken Saturday Night''. By the 1930s, it was completely in ruins. Some later ''modern'' Paranormal Investigators looked at the Case and determined that perhaps it was NOT The House, but one of The Sisters who was ''emotionally possessed'' by some Entity (as had been recorded with other well-known Cases).
