On March 10, 1995, American West Passenger Flight 564 was cruising at an altitude of 39,000 feet. The flight was from Texas to New Mexico (US). Over the City of Bovina, Texas, Flight 564 stated they could see what appeared to be a row of bright White lights framed on a Cylindrical Object . The Pilot and Co-Pilot estimated the Object to be around 400 feet long. Continuing on their flight path, the Lights appeared to wait for the plane to pass - when the Object fell behind the plane and followed it. Several dark clouds (like thunderclouds) began to form also behind the Object. Soon, lighting and thunder was present. With each flash - better details of the Object could be seen. The Object did not appear to be a threat. The incident was reported by the Pilot to Air Control. They stated that they had intermittent contact with something . Flight 564 continued to it's destination. Air Control checked with NORAD (North American Defense System) Radar. They stated that they had telemetry with an Object traveling between 1,000 and 1,400 miles per hour (in the vicinity of Flight 564). Later, when FAA Officials requested copies of NORAD's findings they could not be found!
