Wilmington, Delaware (US) – was a quiet Town in the year 1860. Other than political unrest at The Election of Abraham Lincoln as President of The United States, nothing truly unusual happened there. That was until the night of July 13th. Hundreds of people came out of their homes to witness an unusual sight in the sky. Appearing as if out of ''nowhere'', was an Object estimated at being 200-feet in length. Oddly, no real shape was described, but all said that the ''wondrous thing'' was emitting a ''pale blue light from underneath it''. Also, many described a ''Black Cloud of some sorts, in the front of The Object, from which (3) large Red ''Balls of Fire'' were plainly seen''.

As The Object moved towards The Delaware River, these ''Balls of Fire'' began to ''detach'' from ''The Cloud'' and ''fly away from both The Cloud and Blue Light effect''. Now separate, The ''Balls'' began to fly around the Main Object – which had ''picked up speed'' and was moving away. As the Object did, ''sparks began to be seen all around the Object, similar to the same seen by Fireworks''. Many decades away from even rudimentary aircraft travel, just what did The Residents of Wilmington see? An Air Balloon, perhaps – but all action ''in flight'' match nothing of the day, let alone explain the ''light show'' seen. Although published in local Newspapers of The Era – no further investigations were ever made.
