An Ancient Greek Myth, the giant creature known as Thalos was created by Hephaistos (Greek God of Fire and Metal Work). Given as a gift by him to King Minos of Crete, Thalos was given the task of patrolling the Island 3 times per day . As a Giant made of hollow bronze, Thalos stood 100 feet tall. Incredibly strong, Thalos would pick up giant boulders and throw them at any enemy ships that passed too close to Crete. It was said the key to Thalos lifeforce was a special fluid which came from The Gods and served Talos as blood serves Humans . Thalos had a weak spot, though. At the bottom of his right foot (heel), was a sealed (plugged) opening with which to pour in his blood . The Hero Jason (upon learning his secret) was able to use this weakness to defeat Thalos, when Jason was on his Quest to find The Golden Fleece.
