Perhaps originally of Ancient Celtic Origins – ''Telesphorus'' appeared in Ancient Greek Mythos around the 3rd BC. Variations of this God can also be found as far as Germania – which shows much with regards to possible ancient commerce and exchanges of religious ideology. Telesphorus was a ''dwarf'' Deity, associated with the protection of Children (with regards to various healing methods used when they got ill). Even in death, His Icon was often placed in the grave to protect their Spirits.
