Seen in Norse Myth, The Tarnhelm was the magical Helmet of Alberich. He was the Dwarve Guard of The Treasure of Nibelungen (Part of German Composer Richard Wagner's “Ring” Cycle Operas which celebrated Ancient Norse Legend and Heroes). The Tarnheld was further expanded on in The Opera “Das Rheingold”. Forged of “Magical Fire”, The Tarnhelm was a full covering War Helmet. Similar to a Nasal Helmet, The Tarnhelm featured an attached Facial Armor Plate. This was stylized and engraved to resemble the features of a Human Face. It was said that when Alberich put Tarnhelm on, he would become invisible to all. He could evade his Enemies and wearing Tarnhelm meant that defending his Treasure was much easier. Tarhelm would be later stolen by Sigmund and used against The God Odin. It was said that only a Valkyrie was able to ''see'' Tarnhelm, when it was ''invisible''.
