Found in many cultures, The Sylph is of the fairy family of creatures. Said to be in several forms, they can be as tall as a human (6 foot), to as small as a Gnat. They are most often portrayed with wings, and are very slight of built. Sylph are also seen as having pale skin (as they shun the bright light). In most cases, they are also female (with very few male Sylph being seen). They can inspire music and literature (placing them firmly with the Greek Muse). Some Sylphs avoid human contact while others actively seek it out. They can appear as a normal person when they please.
