Susulu

Turkish Mythos tells of a Race of Entities known as The Susulu. Comparable to Europe's Mermaid – they too are part-Human Female and Part-Fish. However, in Turkic Cultures, The Susulu were once Human. These were Women (normally young Girls) – who died at Sea or by Water. Their Spirits become The Susulu. They also are seen as ''Bad Luck'', especially to those ''handsome Men'' who fall prey to their voice. Unlike the attribute of ''Song'' which is common among Mermaids as a means of luring their victims to their death,The Susulu need only ''speak''.
