''Superbeast'' (1972)

Another Indie Horror fare from 1972, ‘’Superbeast’’ is a rip-off of two similar Films. The first, ‘’The Island of Dr. Moreau’’ and ‘’The Deadliest Prey’’. Somewhat disjointed in both script and acting, The Plot centers around a secluded Lab in The Jungle – complete with ‘’Mad Doctor’’ experimenting with Human DNA sequencing. His ‘’guinea pigs’’ are Convicts from a nearby Prison. Attempting to create the perfect genetic human, most of The Docs patients end p as deformed (and quite insane), Monsters. The Doctor, financed by a wealthy Businessman who likes to hunt ‘’exotic animals’’, steps in next. The insane Patients of various hybrid forms – are let loose into the wild, only to be hunted down by The Millionaire. However, when a Reporter get too close, He too is turned into a Monster – but is able to control Himself. The rest is far too predictable. Not great, but your could do worse………..
