A ''Staurogram'' is a type of written (drawn) Letter symbolism, which can be traced to the 2nd Century AD. Described as an ''elongated Cross'' (or ''T'') with a ''P'' symbol on top (or Cross Bar). Together, The Staurogram was a combination of The ''Tau Cross'' (Greek) and The ''Rho'' (Latin) identifier. This was a common symbol used to identify The Prophet Jesus Christ. Often called ''The Monogram of Christ'', it is also misidentified as The ''Chi Rho''. The Staurogram appeared in Religious Texts and in Religious Art as well as – coinage.
