A Roman Soldier in Legend that – after conversion to Christianity – fled to Northern Italy to live in peace, St. Crescentinus was said to have evangelized Pagans in The Region of Urbino (of which he is seen even today as Patron of that City). Depicted as a Mounted Soldier with Spear, He is commonly seen ''spearing a Dragon''. This led to 15th Century AD beliefs that Crescentinus was associated with St. George and His slaying of all Evil in England. In truth, The ''Dragon'' was seen as a symbol of His converting Pagans to Christianity. His Sainthood dates to the 3rd Century AD.
