Spirit Spouse

Many Folk and Nature Religions, identify with the term ''Spirit Spouse''. These are Spirit Guides and Protectors, who form an intimate bond with their charge (often a Tribal Shaman). Some sources state that this is a psycho-sexual relationship, otherwise called ''Ghost Love'', or the belief in maintaining a marriage with a Spirit. In such cases, The ''Spirit Spouse'' avails all forms of supernatural and preternatural abilities and perceived ''powers'' to their Human Host. A Spirit Spouse may be either Male or Female. A more common parallel is that of a confessed Religious Sister (Nun), who takes on the mantle of being an actual Bride of Christ, and are so ''married'' (even wearing a wedding band to signify such). The Subject of Spirit Spouse is quite popular in Horror and Fantasy Films Genre.
