In addition to The Native American Navajo, many Southwestern Tribes have a ‘’Foundation’’ Deity called The ‘’Spider Grandmother’’. She was portrayed in Indian Mythos as an Elderly (Wise) Woman, who was part-Human and part-Spider. Living in a Hole in the ground (den), Spider Grandmother was responsible for what The Tribes perceived as ‘’Good Luck’’. It was She that ‘’led’’ all animals in the ‘’Beginning Times’’ from The Underworld to The Earth. Spider Grandmother was also seen as Protector of ‘’New Life’’.
