''Slag Pile'' Annie

From The State of Pennsylvania (US), Slag Pile Annie, is said to be seen by various workers of The Laughlin Steel Mill. Although not many Women work the molten Steel , some do. Annie is seen working the Steel though the massive amounts of smoke (which is common). Annie appears quite solid and will speak to whom she wishes. The conversation can go on for some time....until one's requests her name. At this point, Annie simply vanishes . Some state that The Mill (which has been open since 1852), has been the scene of many accidental deaths. One, involved a Man killed by crashing bulk Metal. The only source of his Families income, his Widow pleaded that she be allowed to take her Husbands Job. Balking at the thought that a Woman could even do the work, she was refused. Many feel that Annie has come back to prove her abilities. Her Legend is still very much alive even today.
