An extremely morbid and gruesome ''fad'' which dated to the 16th Century (and lasted until the 19th Century strangely), ''Skull Blasting'' grew from the much early Medieval Relic Collecting activity. Indulged by The Catholic Church, many European Kings and Queens spent vast sums to ''own'' various pieces of actual Biblical History. The most popular, was reputed bones belonging to Saints and other Biblical ''Heroes''. Many of these ''Relics'' were fake, but some were not. As such, many surviving examples may well be false (with no real way to establish identity). A practice arose in France around the 16th Century, by which ''famous'' (and infamous) Men and Women were ''denuded'' of flesh (with any soft tissue likewise removed). The Skull was then crushed in such as way, was to break into 8 to 10 smaller pieces. These pieces were then sold as ''Collectibles'' and ''Curios''. Some felt that Skull Blasting was an off shoot of some ''Black Alchemy'', by which the piece could be used to invoke some power to the User.
