From Norse (Viking) Mythology – ''Skaoi'' was a ''Spirit Goddess'' associated with Winter, Skiing and Bow Hunting (as it would be in Winter Months). ''She'' never missed Her target when She shot Her Bow (capable of hitting anywhere in ''The World''). Skaoi was an ''early marriage'' to The God Odin, and the two produced many children, until She got ''bored'' and left Him. Without wraith, Odin gave Her charge over protecting The Earth during the cold Winter Months, and made sure ''Man'' did not over hunt during The Season. Later, Skaoi and Her name was associated with the English word for ''Harm''. Seen as mostly malevolent, offerings of wild game were made to Her BEFORE a Hunt.
