Dating to around the 12th Century AD in Russia ''Sirin'' was at first a Pagan ''Deity Being'' that was later adopted into The Eastern Orthodox (Catholic) Theology (in part). Female in personified Art and Literature, Sirin was very akin to being ''Part Angel and Part Siren (or Muse)''. Depending on what Region within Russia, Sirin was either ''Protector'' or ''Plague'' (Evil). If a 17th Century AD City felt that a Sirin was ''present'', Soldiers would fire cannon into the air (as the very loud noise and explosions would ''scare'' Her away). Later, with the widescale adoption of Christianity, Siren was seen as a ''Guardian Angel'' who conveyed Souls into Heaven for Judgment.
