The Character ''Sir Gringamore'' was a type of ''stock'' Figure, who appeared in many pre-Mallory ''Le Morte'' Stories – originating in 12th Century AD France. He is (in those volumes) shown as a ''Consort'' to ''The Fairy Mistress'' (Queen). This figure is seen as a type of Morgana (Morgan) Le Fey. She was said to be ''Ruler of Avalon'', a mythical Arthurian land where all manner of ''magic and fantastic beasts'' reigned and lived. In Mallory's version, Sir Gringamore was a Vassal of King Arthur, and ''came from The Isle of Avalon''. He was known for having all ''blackened'' Arms (Sword, Dagger and Shield). He was not (by then) an ''Evil'' or ''Malevolent'' character. Related to Sir Gareth (by marriage, and His Brother-in-Law), He featured briefly in several Arthurian Quests before The Holy Grail Mission. It is assumed that Sir. Gringamore died either during The Grail Quest or at The Battle of Cammlan
