Although NOT a component of Mallory’s ‘’’Le Morte'’ Cycle, ‘’Sir Badgemagus’’ does appear in a French variant which featured Sir Lancelot (12th Century). Often simply portrayed in several pieces as a ‘’Round Table Knight’’, His claim to fame (as it were), was to die in Tournament against Sir Gawain – during the conflicts between King Arthur and His choice to sentence Guinevere to death.
