Shunka Warakin

Linked to Native American Legends (The Ioway Tribe), The Shunka Warakin was purported to have been ''seen'' by many Ranchers and Farmers in The US State of Montana. It was said to be a massive Beast (in excess of 250-pounds), part-Wolf and part Hyena. The Creature's name is translated to mean ''That Which carries off Dogs''. Claimed to be a ''Missing'' or ''Undiscovered'' Canine link, a ''stuffed'' version was displayed by a Rancher from Idaho in 1896. Still in existence, some cite that the ''exemplar'' is a clever hoax other not so. For the non-skeptic, The Shunka Warakin is a form of Dog that may have existed in great numbers roughly 10,000 years ago (and long thought extinct). Again in 2006 in Montana a possible ''juvenile'' Shunkra was thought to have been found, but it was an unusually large Wolf instead.
