'’Animal Imagery’’ in relation to The Ancient Egyptian Gods and Goddesses was quite common. The God Set, who was associated with MANY calamities in Life (and Death), featured many. Mostly personified as a Canine, some Historians cite that The Ancient Egyptians were really citing a long extinct Cryptid. The ‘’Set Animal’’ (as it has come to be known), was said to be ‘’close to the size of a Camel’’ but of ''Canine characteristics''. Thus, when Set was portrayed in Funerary Art, He was done so with a ‘’Canine Face’’. No proof as to the existence of such a massive Canine in Egypt has yet to be found.
