Seelkee

Said by Canadian Native Tribes to be a ‘’Great Lake Monster’ near present day Chilliwack, British Columbia, ‘’Seelkee’’ was said to have the ‘’body of a Human, with the Head of a Horse’’. The Creature was known to terrorize Tribes, trying to kill any One who ventured too close to any number of local Lake or Swamp Land. Later, with European colonization – some claimed to have seen Seelkee quite often (but without happenstance). Most Folklorists agree Seelkee may have been misidentified as some form of Giant Otter or Beaver. With Urbanization and several hundred years of technology, Seelkee has NOT been seen.
