Satyr's were 6th Century B.C. Ancient Greek and Roman mythological beings. To The Greeks, they were human-like with horse or goat ears and a long tail. To the Romans, they were half-Goat and half-Human beings. Satyrs were often depicted as hyper-sexual creatures who completely gave into carnal and earthly delights . They were celebrants of the God Bacchus (Wine). They were also great Masters at the musical instrument known as The Lute. It was said that they would used the instrument to mesmerize human females (so that they could used for their carnal needs). The more famous of The Satyrs was the God Pan. There were also female Satyrs (who operated much the same way as their Male counterparts). In later descriptions, The Satyr had a more hardened facial appearance having horns and a heavier bone structure. This was to impart a more bestial look .
