Despite the allusion to the ''infamous'' name – ''Satanaya'' was a Northern Caucasus mythological figure, associated with Female fertility and Patroness of Children. Perhaps similar to Ancient Greece's ''Demeter'', Satanaya ''lived'' (in Spirit) by The Kuban River. A ''beautiful female'' in personified Art and Literature, Her Cult would vanish with the coming of Christianity in the 8th Century AD.
