Another Spanish tale, The Santa Companas is a supernatural procession by which a ''possessed'' Human is compelled to lead a ritual walk of tormented Spirits through the Countryside. The goal of The Spirits is bring to the attention of the living their ''otherworldly'' sufferings. The procession can be several to hundreds. The human ''Leader'' is normally cursed by some witch (Bruja) or similar. He or She will lead the walk, often with no knowledge of his or her actions. They often awake at home, dirty and physically tired from their nightly journey. These processions can be monthly or yearly (depending on the type of curse).

Should The Leader become (and convinced) of his ''nightly activities'' want to stop or leave the area the curse was placed, he or she will begin to waste away. When they die, the curse transfers to the next family member (unwilling and unknowing as they may be). A methods of removing the curse is the use of what is known as a ''Solomon Circle'' (taken from the demonic incantations from The ''Seal of Solomon''). A Pentagram is drawn with a Cross added. The person is to lay inside, awaiting for the procession to come to them for their nightly walk. They cannot be seen but felt. Unable to exert their influence thru the symbol, The Santa Compana is supposed to carry on leaderless, until one can be found.
