Sampy

Various Madagascar (Africa) Tribes use a Sampy. These Talisman are said to contain either great protective powers or can convey a specific need to the possessor. If One wishes strength, The Sampy can be ''created'' to channel that need. Conversely, if One wished to be protected from a specific illness, then the Sampy would be crafted to suit that need as well. Sampy construction varies as well. They are crafted from many components. Wood, Bone, Gold or Silver – some Sampy are made to be worn (about the neck), or crafted into rings. However, a Sampy MUST be ''activated'' by a Shaman in order to work.
