The Sami Peoples of Ancient Finland, were Paganistic and Folk Magic Practitioners. They believed that specially constructed Drums, used in various Ceremonies could invoke the various Gods or Deities that they needed. Made of a wood frame, joined by animal sinews (dried muscles). The images of the required Deities were drawn or etched into the hide (stretched) that was used as the Face of the Drum. The various ''beats'' were varied and served as ''summoning tones'' for the ''Gods''. Variations of The Sami Drum would last well into the adopted Christian Religion, dating to the 8th Century AD.
