In Ancient Tibetan Mythology – ''Samding Dorje Phagmo'' is the personification of The Country of Tibet. In Tibetan reincarnation beliefs - Samding is the 3rd Highest Ranking Incarnation. There has been at least 12 such Incarnations of Samding since 1422 AD. After much testing and ritual to verify ''Her'' existence – it is still up to The Dali Lama (also an Incarnate), to officially ''install'' Samding. She ''resides'' in Her ''Human Form'' at The Samding Monastery in Tibet.
