In Polish and Czech Mythology, the mysterious Rubezahl Mountains (which lay between Silesia and Bohemia), were so ''named'' ''The Giant Mountains'', as being the habitation of a Race of Giants also so named ''Rubezahl''. They became the focal point of many Regional Legends and Tales. The Rubezahl were said to be ''8-feet Tall'' and ''Human-Like in appearance''. Depending on the Story, they could be both ''Good or Bad''. As originally told, it was The Rubezahl who ''taught'' Man the ''wisdom'' of ''learning''. Even fire was given to Humankind by The Beings. Normally malevolent, they bore no breach to lying to them it seems. Doing so invoked an almost dogged determination to hunt down and kill those who did. Pagans worshiped them, even erecting statues to them. I one case, - it is said even an ancient grave exists in Poland which has the remains of a Rubezahl. They are still siad to inhabit The Mountains of Poland.
