Dating to at least the 11th Century AD, The Ancient Japanese Healing Belief of ''Reiki'' was akin to the (later) European (and similar) practice of ''laying Hands'', it was a belief that One (specially trained as a Healer), could ''draw forth'' a Persons ''negative'' Energy and replace it with ''Good'' or beneficial Energy. As such, various sickness and diseases were also thought ''removed'' by the continued use of Reiki. The practice is still found in some Eastern Healing Beliefs – to include Shinto Buddhism.
