Recording Angel

Most World Religions use the concept of a ''Recording Angel''.These Angelic Beings (of various Classes), were tasked by God to monitor and to record Human Events – both Good and Bad. This ''information'' was then transcribed into the ''Judgment Book'', told of in various religions – as being used to ''qualify'' One for Heaven or Hell, upon death. Recording Angels would become a somewhat popular form of Funerary Art (Statuary), used in Cemeteries in the 19th Century. ''They'' often appear in Medieval Art and Literature.
