Rangi & Papa

According to Maori (New Zealand) Mythos – ''Rangi and Papa'' were part of that Tribes Creation Beliefs. It was said the Twin Deities were born from The God and Goddess of The Earth and Sky. They were jealous of their Parents and tried to instigate a War in The Heavens, pitting Gods against Gods. This failed, and Rangi and Papa were banished to The Earth. Both were made Deities over The Jungles and Forests (and all that lived therein).
