 A Primary Aztec Deity, it was symbolized as a Great Winged Serpent. Said to be the bringer of wind and life, he invented the Calendar (for people to reckon time). Responsible for creating the different Ages of Man (with each subsequent one ending with the destruction of all life from the previous), Quetzacoatl was an important figure in Aztec life and Religion.
