In Ancient Greek, ''Psychopomps'' were viewed as any ''Spirit or Entity'' that was tasked to escort recently deceased Souls to their Afterlife. Regardless if the journey resulted in Paradise or Damnation, Pyschopomps were the ''Guardians'' of such. There were hundreds of such Entities who performed this task, some Good and some Evil. Later, Psychopomps would be personified by certain animals seen as ''omens'' of The Dead and Souls in such migration. Some examples were Owls, Vultures, Sparrows, Ravens and Canines. The ''Grim Reaper'' (Death's personification in many Cultures around The World), is seen as the primary example of a Psychopomp.
