''Psychic Surgery'' was the fodder of many 1970s and 1980s ''Yellow Journalism'' Magazines and Newspapers. It was the practice, performed by a ''skilled Practitioner'' – of placing One's ''hands'' into a persons body (via the abdomen), and ''removing'' various necrotic tissues responsible for inoperable Cancers and related diseases. This was accomplished thru ''solid matter transference'' without the need for any surgical cuts (blades) of any kind. Often, the ''Surgeon'' would generate small amounts of blood and remove pieces of ''Occult Tissue''. Once ''removed'' the Person would be healed. In truth, Psychic Surgery was a shame. A skilled Illusionist would create the effect by making his hands and fingers ''appear'' to vanish inside and with slight of hand techniques, One could hide small capsules of animal blood and pieces of animal meat, in such a way – as to give the appearance of delving ''deep into' the abdomen. No documented case of being healed of inoperable Cancer has ever been advanced. However, documentation does exist from Spanish Explorers in The Philippine Islands in the 16th Century AD – who ''witnessed'' the practice with local Native Shaman. However in ''hindsight'' – this too was no doubt a form of trickery or even ''sympathetic magic.''
