Rupert was Son of Prince Frederick V of The Rhine. He supported England's King Charles I as a ''Royal Brother'' and came to His aid during The English Civil War, as a Cavalry Commander. Rupert brought with Him to England His Pet, a large Poodle named ''Boy''. As we have seen with a Witches Familiar, many Parliamentarians felt that ''Boy'' was actually a ''Demon'' in animal form at at the command of His Master, The Prince. Whenever The prince went into battle with His Canine, it was said the Dog would ''show'' Rupert more strategic routes for His Cavalrymen to take. When ''Boy'' was not with The Prince, He did not do ''so well''. It was said ''Boy'' had ''strange blue eyes'' as well. While many Historians cite Parliamentarian propaganda as the real cause of The Dog's ''magical powers'' nonetheless, it was at The Battle of Marston Moor (1644), that ''Boy'' became separated from The Prince. Captured, His head was severed from His Body. Needless to say, The Prince's ''battle tactics'' suffered fatally as a result.
