''Prima Materia''

Or ‘’Prime Material’’ was alleged to be the foundation (base) material needed for an Alchemist to begin ‘’making’’ the elusive ‘’Philosopher’s Stone’’ (or the ability to convert lead into gold). The actual composition of ‘’Prima Materia’’ is both unknown (or very closely guarded). Mentioned in early Medieval Texts as early as the 10th Century, the formulation was naturally seen as Witchcraft and thus Heresy. Some speculate that The Material was taken from an ancient meteorite or a portion of The Earth's Crust (Mantle).
