 From Malay (Indonesia), The Polong is a Spirit that is enslaved (for a time) to a human being. The myth states that the Polong was once a Witch or Witch Doctor, whose soul was trapped by an enterprising person. If The Polong does what is expected, his human Master will release him. The Polong is used to curse or harm others. It should be noted that two Polongs cannot fight each other (in case one's victim has a Polong too).
