The ''Pleiades'' were ''Sister'' Deities and known as The ''Companions of Aretmis''. Their Father was The Titan ''Atlas''. Personified by the early Greeks as ''Doves'', when their Father was destroyed by Zeus and His Cohorts in The ''War of The Titans'' (for supremacy), they committed suicide. Their beauty was beyond compare. This saddened Zeus, who ''set them among The Stars''. Late Greeks, also associated The Pleiades with ''Rain''.
