The very unusual phenomenon known as ''Phantom Clown'' (or ''Evil Clown'') Sightings can be traced back to The American State of Massachusetts and 1981. It was there, that a ''mysterious'' figure dress as a somewhat ''disheveled Clown''. Dirty, torn – this ''Clown'' would be seen all over The Town of Brookline, without any reason or pattern. The Clown would simply ''stand motionless, staring''. It's face was either a rubber Clown Mask or a completely painted one – as seen in a Circus. When Police were called to investigate, The Clown would always ''disappear''. In a time before the Internet or advanced Cellphones and Laptop PCs, it was ''Yellow Journalism'' Newspapers that pushed the Urban Legend of a ''Demonic Entity'' or possible ''Serial Killer''. By 1982, the Clown and the tale disappeared. That is until the 1990s, when a rash of ''Clown'' Sightings began to pop up all over The United States and some other European Countries. Now in Groups (sometimes) – and always different in appearance, The Clowns were ''menacing'' and ''scary''. This time, more pictures and now Internet advances showed the phenomenon in full. There was no explanation or reasoning why or who was doing this strange behavior. In all cases, The Clowns appeared in odd locations, simply staring and motionless. Finally, in the 2000s, ''Clown Sightings'' again rose. This time, some people armed themselves and chased or tried to assault the strange Clowns (who were now found on Subways, or at Bus Stops and even outside of children schools. The phenomenon finally stopped in 2016......still without explanation.
