Peryton

 Described in many Medieval Bestiaries, The Peryton was a huge Hybrid creature, consisting of the body and head of s Stag, with the wings, feathers and hindquarters of a Great Bird. Said to also possess talons, they used them (and their massive antlers), as weapons. It was said that certain Regions were full of Perytons (but actual locations were never given!).
