Perhaps the most recognized symbol most associated with both Witchcraft and Satanism, much of the true origin of The Pentagram has been twisted and misused over the many thousands of generations since it's first most probable usage. Linked to Ancient Greece and Babylon, the 5-Pointed Star was said to be relative to the five locations of The Earth and the Planet's relationship within The Universe. The Pentagram was also widely used as a symbol for ''Health''. It was also adopted briefly by Ancient Christians as a representation of the ''Five Wounds'' suffered upon by Jesus Christ during His execution. The mid-14th Century AD would find The pentagram taking it's more ''darker'' place in History. German Scholar and early Occultist Henrich Agrippa stated that the symbol when ''reversed and inverted'' was actually the symbolism of Evil. Hence, the symbol was also allocated to Witches, Witchcraft and of course Satanism when that belief system developed Centuries later. The Pentagram is often associated with a related ''mystical'' symbol known as The Pentacle (which is different altogether).
