Known as a ''Bird Spirit'' by The Native American Abenaki Tribe of The Great Northeast – Pamola lived on The Katahdin Mountain. The tallest in Maine (at over 5,000-feet) was sacred and off limits to all Humans. Noted to promote Peace among The Abenaki, it was considered a high taboo to even go near The Mountain, lest one angered Pamola.
