Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus

As if ANYONE would not read the Title of this missive and say ‘’Huh’? – the Urban Legend that was ‘’The Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus’’ was  - as the joke goes – so ‘’fake’’ it was perceived as ‘’real’’,. Created to prove a ‘’point’’ that People are oft to thoroughly believe everything they read (or see), The ‘’Tree Octopus’’ was created for an American College Class in Literacy. An ‘’in-depth’’ back ground on the ‘’elusive’’ creature was created as well as photoshopped imagery of a ‘’Tree Octopus’’ in ‘’The Wild’’. And even while anyone with intelligent can reason Octopus’ cannot live outside of Their aquatic environment (at least for long periods), most people read and believed the Story – so quite a long tie it seems. Even when the Author’s of The ‘’Tree Octopus’’  came ‘’clean’’ – some thought it was merely ‘’a cover-up’’. Said to ‘’reside’’ in Washington State, The ‘’Tree Octopus’’ could survive in both water and land – often ‘’hanging in trees’’ to catch prey……..(Seriously?)
